Village Hall

  • The village hall is one of the focal points of the village.

    The village hall is about to undergo a refurbishment.

    The committee have drawn up plans to extend at the rear to provide new toilets, kitchen and a small meeting room

    The planning application has been submitted, and funds need to be raised,

    The Hall is still in frequent use. Last year there were some three hundred bookings, but enquiries about new and additional lettings are always welcome! Various items of equipment are frequently hired out at reasonable rates for events elsewhere.

    There is now wireless internet access available in the village hall. It is secured by a password. If you require access from a your laptop when in the village hall, contact Geraint on 07831 277800 or 690302 for the details.

    The internet connection has been funded by the Parish Council.

    Regular users include:-

    Whist Drive - alternate Tuesday evenings.

    Tuesday Art Group - Tuesday mornings

    Women's Institute - first Wednesday evening in the month.

    Parish Council - Tuesday evenings every 4 or 6 weeks.

    Adult Education Courses

    Heritage Group - Second Monday evening in the month

    Youth Forum - Thursday evening

    Run by an elected committee of trustees, which meets regularly.

    They are also responsible for organising a number of key village events.

    Annual Fete

    This takes place at the end of the summer each year and is the main fund raising event for the village hall.

    Bonfire and Fireworks

    November 5th sees the regular bonfire night celebration on the green. Fireworks and a barbeque complete the evening which starts at 6.30pm. the cost is met from voluntary contributions collected by bucket on the night.
